GUI for rsync
« le: 28 avril 2013 à 03:52:37 »
This one is actually fun to use every month.
Quick backup and sync if desired.
The deb package below installs easily.

syncBackup

If you want a GUI for rsync, you can install grsync.

It looks like that one has excellent features. Have you tried doing a restore from a backup yet? Backups are no good if they won't restore properly. The time to find out if the restore works is not when you need to restore a crashed drive.

Oh sure, every month.   Actually have /home backed up in 2 places with
syncBackup.   Grsync is a little more heavy duty for the whole Linux
directory system   ( rsync -aH )   but I can backup /home refreshed without
thinking with syncBackup.
