official announcement or watch the video above, but in this article we’re listing the hardware requirements for this new mobile operating system powered by Ubuntu:
For entry level consumer Ubuntu tablet:
• Dual-core Cortex A15 CPU
• 2GB memory preferred
• 8GB flash storage minimum
• 7-10 inch screen size
• 4 fingers multi-touch
• Full desktop convergence is not supported
For high-end Ubuntu enterprise tablet:
• Quad-core A15 or Intel x86 CPU
• 4GB memory preferred
• 8GB flash storage minimum
• 10-12 inch screen size
• 4-10 fingers multi-touch
• Full desktop convergence is supported.
Personal note: Don't know about you, but a dual core at minimum and 2gig of RAM? That seems excessive.
