If you want to set up a customized sources.list for apt/synaptic, especially if you want to run Testing or SID,
this link will allow you to choose the parameters you need, then write the list so you can copy and paste into your /etc/apt/sources.list. Don't forget to update the list - terminal "apt-get update", or in Synaptic click "reload". Neat.
