Next a multisite with an English sub-site: subdomain or subsite?

Hi,

The content has momently disappeared, as I had to restart it from scratch after the domain name was redirecting to the website, as it was not working as expected.

Before the next steps needed to restore the website as it was, and while creating the network (the first step to have a multi site) I have to choose between two possibilities, I want to ask you to choose:

You can choose either:
http://en.linuxvillage.org

or
http://linuxvillage.org/en

Which one would you prefer ? This is just a matter for me to tick an option now.

Whatever's easiest for you. en.linuxvillage.org is a subdomain of linuxvillage.org and linuxvillage.org/en is just a subdirectory on the domain's main page.

Sure, I know. If you read the link I pointed to, Slystone suggested the subdirectory method would be better, for it will allow easier completion in the navigation field of the web browser. I wanted to ask you, Taco and all the people here speaking English, because the choice is easy to do when installing (or reinstalling) but can't be reverted once done.

I don't mind setting it up as subdirectory.

I can also set it up as sub-domain, if someone has arguments in favor of this solution. It is just a matter of choosing to tick one or the other before stepping further.

I'll do that tomorrow, probably at some time after 7:00 pm UTC so I can finish setting up the multi-site, finish reinstalling the content, the theme, and add the second site.

You mean as the default? Honestly, I'm using the default theme we have here. I think most are.

No I don't mean as the default. It is a Wordpress blog, so it is not meant to be used on something else than on Wordpress websites.

You have seen the default Primepress on our linuxvillage.org (which is built on Wordpress). I was just asking if you like the new look of my blog, because I was using Primepress there so far (and I don't want to have the same at our website and on my blog).

More configurations done on the French side and in the English side. Some translations will have to be done and added to the English side.

Registrations are not opened yet. The ones already registered in the French version are in the place, and for the time being anyone willing to contribute may ask me directly for a registration or just wait one or more days then all will be setup.
