Hint: You only need one of each aspect ratio. For example, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864 and 1600x1200 are all 4:3 aspect ratio. So for that set, you would only need one of 1600x1200 size. Why the largest size? You can scale down without losing quality. But you cannot scale up from, say, 640x480 to 1600x1200 without losing density and definition.

How do you figure out the ratio with the numbers ? ie what is the ratio for the other sizes listed ?

You have to find the lowest common denominator for each number. Then you divide each number by that lowest common denominator. For example, 1440 divided by 45=32 and 900 divided by 45=20. So, you have 32:20 aspect ratio, which can be further reduced to 16:10. All the sizes you listed are 16:10.

Or, you can just cheat and look up each one.
