Unofficial pclos e17 with ecomorph

(1/2) > >>

OnlyHuman:
Hi just to let people know that I created a pclos iso, well 3 actually now,
with help from Agust, themes artwork, and yunn for ecomorph and emodule-wallpaper2 and suggestions from a few others in the pclos forum.
They are basically all the same accept for the theming, colours, are, green, black, and blue.
It has quite a few apps installed and some games, its size is just under 700mb.
Agust seems very pleased with it, but seems pclos don't regard it high enough to make it their official version :(
Links are on this pclos forum page if anyone would like to try the iso out. :)

Thank you OnlyHuman.

Maybe should you post one or two screenshots of the desktop?

(It's a pity Unity Linux can't be used for spins given the stage where it is).

Simple copy and paste job. I'll do it for you, OnlyHuman.

green theme desktop

black theme bootsplash

blue theme bootsplash
(The wuala.com image link at https://www.wuala.com/HumanBean/Documents/new%20blue%20bootsplash.jpg/?key=5cDWtPWLgZoJ ain't cutting it, even with the trailing key portion removed from the URL.) So I took a screenshot from my web browser.

@OnlyHuman,

I'm wondering why you have 3 different isos that are basically the same except for the installed system theme. Is it not possible to install all three themes on the same machine, then create just one remaster with all three themes included?

And I'm also wondering why you chose to store the iso for download on wuala.com instead of, oh, say, dropbox. Dropbox's download speeds are much much better.

OnlyHuman:
Thanks, djohnston,
for pasting the graphics, though thought with giving a link to the iso's and screenshots if anyone was genuinely interested they could have just clicked the link I gave :)

I could put all gdm plymouth gfxmenu themes on one iso, but imagine some people would have problems changing them. I do myself sometimes :D

I was hoping they might get added to the repo, but as it has not been accepted by pclinux as an official pclos version that will be doubtful, they also seem to be slow with putting in the repo some of Agust's new themes.

I originally mentioned on the forum I had made myself an e17 pclos remaster, and Agust asked me to share it, so did.

I had made a 64bit version e17 iso too, but decided as the 32bit did not come up to their standard the 64bit wouldn't either so am not uploading that.

The reason I am not using dropbox is because I was using dropbox an they suspended my downloads, and Agust wanted my newer iso.
I am not paying for dropbox hosting just because pclos wont host it, so went for a free wuala account.
Best wishes,
OnlyHuman
