qgtkstyle - qtconfig (SOLVED)
patrick013:
Hi,
Anybody know where or what the replacement is for the qgtkstyle
package in Debian ?
It's a library, libgtkstyle.so that goes into usr/share/qt/plugins/style
and allows programs like clementine to display gtk themes.
On Fedora it works, Debian no, when I put the library there, lacking
a valid package to i nstall.
thx

Perhaps,
http://packages.debian.org/sid/gtk-qt-engine-kde4
or
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/gtk-qt-engine
then there is qtconfig... to setup things such as the preferred theme for Qt and stuff such as fonts...
Just found this:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=99175
which makes me think what you are looking for might be in qtconfig. And *qtconfig packages are here:
http://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=qtconfig&searchon=names&suite=all§ion=all
djohnston:
Do you have a link to the source? Or, have you tried using alien to convert the rpm to a deb? (Source is usually preferable.) If you can post a link to the source, I'll see if it will build. If it does, I can create a deb for it.
What version of Debian are you running?
melodie:
Hi djohnston,
Do you create deb packages the Debian way ? Or do you have a fast method to do so ?
PS: you might have to try to get the sources either from Nokia, or from an old src rpm if you can get one.
here the two main links are dead for one and lead nowhere for the other:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QGtkStyle
Here I didn't see how to find the sources:
http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/docs/library/html/qt4/qgtkstyle.html
patrick013:
Yes, I'll explore your recommendations.
Respond accordingly.
qgtkstyle is a very important package
If it works and is available on Debian
Scorpio and Debian LXDE is what I'm looking at.
thx
patrick
