What Stallman has to say about Ubuntu is not new, and is but one of a number of reasons why I won't have anything to do with Ubuntu these days.  Which is sad - my first successful foray into Linux was installing Ubuntu 6.06 on to a G3 Mac!  But that was back when things were still cute and fuzzy - and Ubuntu outgrew that and went all corporate.
What can go wrong !!!

I can understand that. Many people prefer building on Debian for these reasons.
