Titre: About reporting bugs upstream
Posté par: melodie le 03 février 2013 à 18:22:53
Hello,

Once a while I do a bug report in some places, it can be at some bugzilla here or there, or directly to a developer if I know what program a problem is related to.

The very latest was happening in Ubuntu, and will probably go backwards to Debian as well. Just a "little thing" : removing Chromium-browser was triggering Firefox to get installed... and if at next step I would remove Firefox it was triggering Ephiphany to install.

The bug has been narrows and will be solved.  ;)
Here is the bug report and following thread: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gecko-mediaplayer/+bug/1113490

Is this similar to what I described here (http://linuxvillage.net/index.php/topic,25.0.html)?

Yes, this was "baffling errors" as you said in this thread. As I have reported it as a bug, they decided they will fix the guilty dependency.

I have posted the same information in the French section : to encourage our members to also go seek for bug reports and add their testimonials, and if no similar bug report is found, then start a new bug report! This does helps the community to make our systems better.
